And here's some information from the wiki on Solaire of Astora. PRAISE THE SUN! \O/
But for those too lazy here's the lowdown:
Solaire of Astora is an Undead, a human being cursed with undeath. As such, he is unable to die. If killed, he respawns at a Bonfire. Solaire went to Lordran, the monster and Hollows (Undead who went insane from the pain of death and rebirth, amongst other things), to seek out 'his own sun'. He's a nutter who customized his own armor set, shield, sword and miracle-accomplishing talisman (miracles are a type of magic commonly used in Lordran). Be that as it may, this jolly fellow is bro and hits like a tank.
